
Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, the legend of Bangla music and freedom fighter, died on Tuesday morning.
The noted musician died of cardiac arrest in his house at Aftabnagar in the capital. He was 63.
Sami Ahmed said his father was taken to Mohakhali's Ayesha Memorial Hospital for a checkup after he suffered a heart attack in the early hours of Tuesday.
After taking to the hospital, the duty doctors declared him dead, he added.
Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, popular music composer, director, was active in the music industry, including the film industry in Bangladesh since 1970.
He was honored with numerous awards and recognitions in his lifetime, including Ekushey Padak, National Film Award, President Award.
Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul was born on January 1 in 1957. He participated in Bangladesh's Liberation War in 1971at the age of 15.
