Police have arrested Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury (20), the prime accused in connection with school girl Neela rape and murder case. Neela was raped and murdered as she denied Mizan for proposal of establishing affairs. A team of Savar model police station and Dhaka district detective branch north arrested him from a house beside a brick field at Rajfulbaria in Savar on Friday night. Police also recovered the knife used in the murder. Officer in Charge (Intelligence) of Savar model police station Nirmal Kumar Das confirmed the information.
Earlier, the court granted two days remand for Mizan’s father Abdur Rahman (60) and mother Nazmunnahar Siddika (50). Dhaka senior judicial magistrate Fairuz Tasnim passed the remand order. They were arrested by a team of RAB from Chari village under Singair in Manikganj.
On September 20, Neela Roy (14), a student of class ten of a local school was murdered by stabbing as she denied proposal of Mizan for establishing relation. Later Neela’s father Narayan filed a case with Savar model police station accusing Mizan, his father, mother and unknown 3 to 4 persons.
