Gold prices increase by 1166 taka

Again prices of gold have increased by 1166 taka. The prices have increased by one thousand 166 taka per bhori for 22, 21 and 18 carat gold. But the prices of old method gold and silver remain unchanged. Earlier the prices of gold were fixed on August 6.

Due to price hike per bhori 22 carat gold will be sold at 48 thousand 639 taka from tomorrow (Sunday).

The information came in through a notice signed by Bangladesh Jewelers Samity (BAJUS) general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwal.

On Saturday BAJUS said in a press release, comparing the international market the prices of gold have been fixed for the local market.

According to BAJUS price list, 22 carat gold per bhori (11.664 gms) will be sold at 48 thousand 639 taka. Till Saturday this quality of gold was selling per bhori at 47 thousand 472 taka. That means the price has increased by 1 thousand 166 taka per bhori.

21 carat gold per bhori will be sold at 46 thousand 364 taka. Till Saturday this quality of gold was selling at 45 thousand 198 taka. Price has increased per bhori by 1 thousand 166 taka.

Price of 18 carat gold per bhori has increased by 1 thousand 166 taka and will be sold at 41 thousand 291 taka. Till Saturday this quality of gold was selling at 40 thousand 124 taka per bhori.

On the other hand in old method gold is selling at 27 thousand 585 taka per bhori. Meanwhile price of silver remain unchanged. Per bhori 21 cadmium silver is selling at one thousand 50 taka.
