At the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, a Telangana delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy presented the "Telangana Rising 2047" vision to Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekharan.

The roadmap outlines a goal to transform Telangana into a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047 through the "CURE, PURE, RARE" framework, which focuses on developing core urban, peri-urban, and rural agricultural regions.

During the meeting at the TCS Pavilion, the Tata Group expressed strong interest in several landmark projects.

Chairman Chandrasekharan committed to partnering in the rejuvenation of the Musi River, drawing on the group's experience with water body restoration in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

In the hospitality sector, Tata plans to establish a series of hotels across the state, specifically targeting temple towns like Medaram, Vemulawada, and Bhadrachalam, alongside a world-class resort along the Srisailam highway.

The discussions also focused on human capital and sports. The Chief Minister proposed upgrading major stadiums in Hyderabad to international standards with Tata’s support to bolster India’s 2036 Olympic ambitions.

This aligns with the state’s "Young India" initiatives, including a Skills University chaired by Anand Mahindra and a new Sports University.

Furthermore, the delegation announced plans to honor the late Ratan Tata by naming a major greenfield expressway after him and erecting a statue in Hyderabad.

On the industrial front, the Tata Group signaled a positive outlook for future investments in AI data centers, semiconductors, and electric vehicle manufacturing within the state.
