Sheikh Hasina left the country after resigning from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 in the face of the mass uprising of students. After the fall of the government, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's house at Dhanmondi 32 was set on fire. At the same time, the rented house of Rahul Ananda, the singer of Joler Gaan Band, was also burnt.

On the fire of Rahul Ananda's house, it is said on social media that the fire was set due to communal violence. But the incident took a new turn. 'Joler Gaan' band said on social media that Rahul is not a victim of communal violence. When Bangabandhu's house caught fire, it spread to Rahul's house at the next door.

'Joler Gaan' has shared a post by Farhana Hamid, one of the owners of the fashion house 'Khut' on their Facebook page. The post reads, 'Rahul Ananda's house was not set on fire, looted or vandalized. The fire was set in '32's current Bangabandhu Museum and part of its plans.
