On June 14, 2020, shocking news broke—Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment in Mumbai. His untimely demise sparked intense speculation, with debates raging over whether it was a case of murder or suicide.
For five years, mystery surrounded his death, with several Bollywood celebrities coming under scrutiny. Sushant’s sister and close associates strongly believed he was murdered. However, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has now put an end to the speculation. According to their latest findings, Sushant died by suicide, not murder.
As reported by Indian media, on March 22, the CBI submitted its final investigation report to a Mumbai court, stating that no evidence supported the claims of foul play made by the family. The report concluded that Sushant had taken his own life.
Additionally, the report mentioned that the actor’s sister was not present in court when the findings were submitted.
Earlier, actor Somy had alleged in an interview that Sushant was murdered and that his autopsy report was tampered with. He accused Dr Sudhir Gupta, the head of AIIMS’ forensic department, of being involved in the cover-up.
