Abrar's Death Given a New Life to Talented Students: Attorney General

The Attorney General has commented that the death of Abrar Fahad has given a new life to the intellectuals of Bangladesh.

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, during a briefing regarding the verdict of the highly publicized Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad murder case, Attorney General Advocate Md Asaduzzaman made this remark.

The Attorney General said that the higher court has upheld 20 death sentences and 5 life imprisonments. Four of the death-row convicts are absconding. He added that the verdict upheld in the higher court means that the entire nation has received justice.

He stated, "No matter how powerful or who stands behind you, the truth will prevail. Abrar's death weighs heavily on us."

Advocate Md Asaduzzaman also mentioned, "No matter how strong fascism may be, Abrar Fahad has sent a message to crush it. Through his death, the intellectual students of Bangladesh have received a new life."
