The Venice administration in Italy has reacted strongly to the incident of physical assault against actress Azmeri Haque Badhon.
Analyzing social media videos and CCTV footage from the scene, a special branch of the country's police has taken to the field to identify the attackers.
Local time Tuesday (September 8), the popular Italian newspaper Il Gazzettino published this information in a special report.
The report stated that actress and model Azmeri Haque Badhon is currently staying in Venice as a representative of the film The Difficult Bride, directed by Rubiyat Hossain, which was selected in the 'Orizzonti' (Horizons) section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
In the Mestre area of Venice, she was physically assaulted and mentally harassed by local activists of the banned Awami League. During the incident, the attackers hurled abusive language at her, labeling her a "July fighter."

Continuing their investigation, the special branch of the Italian police is working to swiftly identify the attackers visible in the CCTV footage.
Earlier, at around 1:15 AM on the night of Monday, Badhon went live from her verified Facebook page to disclose the physical abuse and attack. She accused expatriate activists of the banned Awami League of carrying out the assault.
