The body of 25-year-old model and actress Hana Kuraki was recovered from her ex-boyfriend's rented apartment in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

International media outlet The Week reported that her body was discovered on Saturday (September 12).

According to reports, neither the police nor her management agency, S1, have yet issued any formal statement regarding Hana Kuraki's death.

However, following the spread of news about her passing, social media has been rife with various discussions regarding whether potential suicide, domestic violence, or extortion might be linked to her death.

It is believed that a note written by Hana Kuraki prior to her death has been found.

The report claims that the note mentions serious allegations against her ex-boyfriend, Shota Taira.

According to the information in the note, Shota Taira used a key to enter Hana Kuraki's home last November and stole valuables. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and theft. Since then, Shota Taira's father allegedly began threatening Hana Kuraki.

Although Hana Kuraki agreed to a settlement to manage the situation, the terms of that settlement were reportedly not honored afterward.

Meanwhile, the apartment owner, Sakito, stated that claims of him being the first to recover Hana Kuraki's body are incorrect.

According to his account, one of Hana Kuraki's friends first went to the apartment, found her dead, and informed him. He then went to the residence to handle the situation and contact the Tokyo Police.

Later, Hana Kuraki's ex-boyfriend, Shota Taira, was also phoned and informed of the death.

The apartment owner stated that Taira arrived at the scene about two hours later.

Hana Kuraki had trained as a beautician. At the beginning of her career, she worked as a hair and makeup assistant.

She began her career as a model for the S1 label in 2024 and published a photobook the same year. That same year, she also debuted as an actress.

However, relevant authorities have not yet officially revealed the actual cause of Hana Kuraki's death or whether there is any connection between the incident and the allegations involving her ex-boyfriend.
