Despite a 13-to-14-year romantic relationship, actress Hina Khan had no prior plans for marriage. However, faced with the uncertainties of life after being diagnosed with breast cancer, she made a sudden decision to tie the knot, with the full consent of her partner, Rocky Jaiswal. Ultimately, their wedding ceremony was completed in less than 15 minutes.
Hina recently shared the story of her wedding on tennis star Sania Mirza’s new show. The couple married in an intimate ceremony on the rooftop of their home in Mumbai on June 4, 2025, while the actress was undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer.
Speaking about the marriage, Hina said, "It was a completely spontaneous decision. We hadn't planned it. I don't think we were even ready for marriage. We've been together for a long time, over 10 years—now I feel it's been 13-14 years."
Explaining the reason behind the decision, she shared, "Given the physical situation I was going through, I told him, 'Either you move on in life and marry someone of your choice, or you marry me,' because I didn't know what tomorrow would bring."
During the show, Sania Mirza asked if their wedding truly took place in just 15 minutes. Hina replied, "Actually, in even less time than that."
Hina noted that her physical illness and the uncertainty of the future encouraged her to make a swift decision. In her words, "I don't know what is going to happen. To be honest, this uncertainty exists in everyone's life. So I said, 'Let's just get married.' He said, 'Okay.' He never had any objections."
Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal first met on the set of the television series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where Hina played the character Akshara, while Rocky was associated with the production team.
What started as a professional acquaintance blossomed into friendship and later turned into love. They made their relationship public in 2017 and have stood by each other through various ups and downs, including Hina's battle with breast cancer.
After being in a relationship for over 13 years, they married in June 2025. Sharing their wedding photos on Instagram, Hina wrote, "Coming from two different worlds, we have built a world of our own through love. Our differences have faded, our hearts have united, and a bond has been created that will last lifetimes. Today, our union is eternalized through love and law. We seek your blessings and good wishes as husband and wife."
