A trio of minors succumbed to ailments bearing measles-like manifestations during the 24-hour interval leading up to 8 am on Sunday, elevating the nation’s cumulative aggregate of verified and prospective measles-associated fatalities to 994 throughout the current year.

As outlined by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the most recent casualties were categorized as suspected measles mortality cases, with zero confirmed fatalities documented during the timeframe.

Through this addition, the overall volume of suspected measles deaths has attained 894, whereas verified fatalities stemming from measles have maintained stability at 100.

An aggregate of 1,043 fresh prospective measles instances were registered across the 24-hour cycle, driving the cumulative tally of suspected episodes nationwide to 164,148.

Concurrently, 55 newly verified measles incidents were documented, bringing the total count of laboratory-confirmed infections to 19,696.

Commencing from March 15 of the current year, a total of 144,168 patients presenting with suspected measles have been admitted to medical facilities throughout the country, out of whom 138,772 have achieved recovery, according to statistics provided by the DGHS.
