8 More Dengue Deaths Recorded as Tally Reaches 209, Hospitalizations Rise to 69149

Eight more people died of dengue while 1,782 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country during the 24-hour period ending at 8 am on Thursday.

With these latest deaths, the national dengue death toll has climbed to 209 this year, according to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the recent fatalities, three deaths each were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation and Khulna division while Dhaka North City Corporation and Mymensingh division recorded one death each.

Since January 1 this year, a total of 69,149 dengue patients have been hospitalized nationwide with 63,874 of them making a full recovery.
