Three additional individuals succumbed to dengue and 1,299 new patients were admitted to healthcare facilities nationwide during the 24-hour period ending at 8 am on Friday.

With these recent casualties, the overall dengue mortality count in the nation has reached 371 this year, based on data provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the latest fatalities, two occurred within Chattogram division while one took place in Mymensingh division, the report specified.

Since January 1 of this year, a cumulative total of 119,801 dengue sufferers have been hospitalized across the country. Of those individuals, 113,407 have successfully recovered.
