Overcoming all obstacles, Israel's cabinet has finally approved a ceasefire agreement with Hamas concerning Gaza. Israeli media reported that after a meeting lasting over six hours, the approval was given early Saturday morning. The ceasefire is expected to take effect from Sunday, January 19, as previously announced.

According to U.S. news outlet CNN, the ceasefire will be implemented in three phases. The first phase entails a preliminary ceasefire period of six weeks or 42 days. During this period, Israel will release 33 Israeli hostages, including women, children, and men over 50 years old. In return, Israel will release 735 Palestinian prisoners from its jails.

Israel's Ministry of Justice confirmed this information in a statement early Saturday morning.

In a brief statement, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced that after more than six hours of discussion, the government approved the ceasefire agreement on Saturday morning. This approval paves the way for the agreement to take effect from Sunday.

The Israeli Ministry of Justice stated that on the first day of the ceasefire, Sunday, 95 Palestinian prisoners will be released from various Israeli prisons. These include 69 women, 16 men, and 10 minors. The Ministry also published the names of the 95 individuals awaiting release.

Discussions regarding the implementation of the second phase of the agreement are set to begin within 16 days of the first phase. This phase may include the release of all remaining Israeli captives, a permanent ceasefire, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

The third phase will involve the return of remaining bodies and the commencement of Gaza's reconstruction, which will be overseen by Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations.

Following 15 months of continuous conflict, Israel and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas agreed on a second ceasefire in Gaza on January 15, mediated by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.
