While publicly condemning the genocide in Gaza, six Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, have been secretly maintaining military cooperation with Israel.
According to a exclusive report by the US media outlet The Washington Post, these nations have been working as part of a covert military alliance, led by the US and Israel, known as the Regional Security Framework, during the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Arab leaders have been vocal about the rights of the defenseless people in Gaza against Israeli aggression. However, the actions of these Middle Eastern countries in stopping the war have been akin to those of silent spectators.
These countries have, in effect, betrayed the people of Gaza, a fact substantiated by the report from The Washington Post.
According to secret US documents obtained by The Washington Post and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), six Arab nations—Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar—have established a joint military framework with the United States and Israel.
The documents state that the alliance was formed in 2022 under the leadership of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), with the primary goal of countering the threat posed by Iran.
In reality, a major part of the alliance's activities involved military training and intelligence sharing focused on the anti-Gaza and anti-Hamas war.
The participating countries in this US-led covert network engaged in joint training on counter-tunnel warfare, air defense, and cybersecurity. Israel reportedly utilized these strategies in its bombardment of Gaza.
The report indicates that the Arab nations continued to conduct joint exercises, secret meetings, and information exchange with Israeli and US forces behind the scenes.
By 2024, these six Arab countries had integrated into the US radar and sensor network. This effectively merged their militaries with Tel Aviv's, ostensibly to counter Iranian missiles and drones.
The covert Arab-Israeli cooperation faced a major crisis in September when an Israeli airstrike killed several Hamas leaders in Doha.
Following the incident, US President Donald Trump was reportedly compelled to call Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and force him to apologize to Qatar.
According to analysts, the Arab leaders are in a dual position: they fear Israel while simultaneously depending on the United States for their security.
This contradictory stance is what led them to betray the residents of Gaza.
