An annual report from the U.S. Department of Defense has leaked information regarding China’s clandestine and aggressive plans concerning India’s Arunachal Pradesh.
According to the Pentagon, China has designated the inclusion of this Indian territory into its own map as one of its "core objectives."
At the heart of Beijing’s blueprint for the "Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation" by 2049 lies the control of Arunachal Pradesh, Taiwan, and the South China Sea, according to a report by the Times of India.
Global Ambitions and Military Expansion
The Pentagon states that Beijing views the unification of Taiwan with the mainland as a "natural necessity." To achieve this and other territorial goals, China is developing a military capable of fighting and winning operations anywhere in the world. To protect its "geographical integrity" and developmental interests, Beijing is now exponentially increasing its military capabilities on a global scale.
The China-Pakistan Military Nexus
The report places significant emphasis on the growing military alliance between China and Pakistan, noting that Beijing is taking its relationship with Islamabad to unprecedented heights.
Strategic Bases and Regional Shifts
According to the U.S. Defense Department, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) is now seriously considering the establishment of a permanent military base in Pakistan.
Beyond Pakistan, China is expanding its sphere of influence by supplying modern military hardware, including drones, to several other countries.
There are growing fears that Beijing’s aggressive defense policy and secret military pacts with allies could fundamentally shift the balance of power in South Asia and the Pacific region.
