On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav led a high-powered delegation to secure strategic partnerships across technology, energy, and tourism.

In a major tech-focused discussion, the state met with Calista Redmond, NVIDIA's Vice President of Global AI Initiatives, to explore the integration of artificial intelligence into agriculture and education.

The Chief Minister outlined a vision to link AI with state databases to streamline welfare delivery for farmers, while NVIDIA presented its "Sovereign AI" strategy to align advanced models with Indian data and workforce needs.

The state’s green energy ambitions received a significant boost following a meeting with Sumant Sinha, CEO of ReNew Power. Discussions centered on expanding the company’s footprint in Madhya Pradesh through new solar projects, pump storage, and specialized infrastructure for the burgeoning data center sector.

Simultaneously, the state moved to strengthen its pharmaceutical landscape by inviting a delegation from Sandoz, led by Global Head Carlo Gargiula, to explore the state’s investor-friendly pharma policies for future expansion.

On the diplomatic front, a bilateral meeting with the Maldives’ Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, established a roadmap for multi-sectoral cooperation.

Both regions identified tourism as a primary "binding factor" and agreed to explore shared opportunities in medical tourism, fisheries, education, and wildlife conservation.

These engagements at Davos 2026 underscore Madhya Pradesh's shift toward a tech-driven, sustainable economy aimed at integrating the state into the global value chain.
