A devastating shooting occurred at a high school in British Columbia, Canada's westernmost province, on Tuesday. A gunman entered the school premises and opened fire indiscriminately on students and teachers.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, the incident took place at approximately 1:20 PM local time on Tuesday (February 10). At least 10 people have been confirmed dead, with several others injured.

Casualties and Emergency Response
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) identified the site of the tragedy as Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. Initial reports from the scene indicated:

• 6 people were found dead at the school.
• Approximately 30 others were rushed to the hospital with various injuries.
• 4 additional victims succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.

Currently, two individuals remain in critical condition, while 25 others have been discharged after receiving primary care.

Suspect Identified as Deceased
The RCMP confirmed that the shooter was also found dead at the scene. Authorities believe the gunman took his own life following the attack.
