A wave of sudden, large-scale missile strikes launched by the United States and Israel has devastated more than 20 of Iran’s 31 provinces following the collapse of nuclear negotiations.

While the offensive has targeted high-level government and military sites, the humanitarian cost is mounting rapidly, particularly among civilians.

Tragedy at Girls' School
In southern Iran, the death toll from a strike on a primary girls' school has risen to 85. According to Al Jazeera, all the victims were students between the ages of 7 and 12.

At the time of the attack—approximately 11:30 AM local time—nearly 170 students were present. Reports indicate many children remain trapped beneath the rubble as rescue efforts continue.

Trump Announces "Major War Campaign"
U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the nation via a video message on Truth Social, confirming that the U.S. has initiated a "major war campaign" in Iran.

"We wanted a deal. We tried. We asked repeatedly," President Trump stated. "We are now going to destroy their missiles and burn down their missile factories. It will be a total destruction."

The strikes have specifically targeted:

• The office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
• The residence of President Masoud Pezeshkian.
• The homes of high-ranking ministers and military chiefs.
• The Ministry of Defense and Intelligence headquarters.

Global Condemnation: Russia and China React
The military escalation has drawn sharp criticism from Moscow and Beijing. The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed "deep concern," asserting that Iran's sovereignty must be respected and calling for an immediate return to dialogue.

The Russian Foreign Ministry echoed these sentiments, warning that the aggression could destabilize the entire region.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council, accused the U.S. of using previous nuclear talks as a "smokescreen" for military preparations. "The 'messenger of peace' has shown its true face," Medvedev posted on Telegram.

Iran Retaliates: U.S. Bases and Israel Under Fire
Iran has launched a massive counter-offensive, targeting U.S. military interests across the Middle East. The Tasnim News Agency claims Iranian missiles have struck 14 U.S. bases so far.

Furthermore, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have severely damaged the American warship MST, though Washington has denied this report.

In Israel, the IDF has confirmed a massive barrage of Iranian missiles entering its airspace.

• Sirens are blaring in Tel Aviv and other major cities.
• Citizens have been ordered to seek immediate shelter.
• The IDF warned that while air defenses are active, they are "not 100% airtight."

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on state television that any facility used to launch or support these attacks—including those in third-party countries—is now a "legitimate target" for the Islamic Republic’s armed forces.
