International Flights Resume at Tehran Airport after Two-Month Standoff

Commercial flight operations have officially resumed at Imam Khomeini International Airport, marking the first time the facility has been active since the outbreak of war between Iran and the United States and Israel approximately two months ago.

Iran’s state-run television reported on Saturday that flights from the airport are now operating to several regional destinations, including Istanbul in Turkey, Muscat in Oman, and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The restoration of international air connectivity was further confirmed by the flight-tracking platform Flightradar24, which showed at least three Istanbul-bound flights departing the airport during the morning hours.

The move follows a partial reopening of Iranian airspace earlier this month during a temporary ceasefire with the United States, which allowed for limited aviation activity.

However, authorities have yet to announce a timeline for when full-scale international flight operations will be completely restored.
