Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran will honor all its commitments provided the United States abides by the terms of the June 18 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

He emphasized that the agreement is built on mutual obligations and that one party's compliance depends entirely on the actions of the other.

According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Monday (June 29), Masoud Pezeshkian made these remarks in a post on the social media platform X.

"This agreement is reciprocal," he stated. "If the United States remains committed to the MoU, we will also fulfill our obligations."

He further added that Iran’s response to "unreasonable rhetoric" and threats is rooted in logic, human dignity in decision-making, and a policy of taking firm and fearless action whenever necessary.

Pezeshkian's comments come at a time when discussions are ongoing regarding the implementation of the MoU signed in Islamabad on June 18.

The agreement successfully halted weeks of military conflict between Tehran and Washington, establishing a framework to de-escalate tensions over various regional issues.

The MoU addresses critical matters, including maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, oil exports, and the release of frozen Iranian assets.

However, future negotiations on broader issues remain contingent upon the successful implementation of these initial clauses.

Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that the agreement is based on mutual commitment, warning that a failure by the United States to fulfill its promises could disrupt the continuity of the entire diplomatic process.
