
At least 12 people, including two Bangladeshi nationals, were killed and 309 others injured after Yemen's Houthi rebels launched a missile strike targeting King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The attack occurred on Saturday night (October 10, 2026), directly striking Terminals 3 and 4, as well as Gate 401 of the domestic complex at King Khalid International Airport.
Senior Houthi official Mohammed al-Bukhaiti claimed responsibility for the strike on behalf of the Yemeni rebel group.
Among the 12 deceased are four Saudi nationals, two Bangladeshis, and one citizen each from the United States, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, and Egypt.
At least 309 individuals were injured in the assault, with several reported to be in critical condition.
Following the attack, airport operations were temporarily halted in full, and all incoming and outgoing flights were diverted to alternative locations.
