Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former autocratic Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, traveled to India to celebrate Eid with her. There, he enjoyed Morog-Polao cooked by his mother.
According to Indian media reports, Sajeeb Wazed Joy arrived in Delhi from Virginia, America, on Friday (June 6) night to celebrate Eid with Sheikh Hasina.
A report at the time stated that Joy loves his mother's homemade Morog-Polao. Therefore, on the morning of Eid day (June 7), the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was busy cooking. Later, she served Joy the Morog-Polao she had prepared for lunch, along with fish, vegetables, and lentils.
Meanwhile, Hindustan Times reported that Joy arrived in India before Eid al-Adha. He primarily went there to celebrate Eid with Hasina. However, Indian government officials have not commented on Joy's visit to India.
A source informed the media that Joy will not attend any public events in India, and his travel itinerary has not yet been released.
It's worth noting that Sheikh Hasina fled to India on October 5, 2024, following a student-people's mass uprising. She is currently residing in a safe house in Delhi. After Hasina's escape to India, Bangladesh's relationship with that country hit rock bottom.
