Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited has issued a recruitment notice for 55 positions across two categories. Interested candidates must apply online.
Circular No. 01
Position: Apprentice Mechanic (Line and Base Maintenance)
Vacancies: 40
Qualifications:
- GPA 5 in both SSC and HSC (Science group) with all subjects graded A+ (Grade Point 5.00), excluding optional subjects.
- Alternatively, candidates with O and A Levels must have an average grade of 'A' in all subjects.
- Must possess computer literacy.
- Foreign degrees or qualifications not specified in the notice must be supported by an equivalency certificate issued by the relevant local education board, university, or UGC. GED qualifications are not acceptable.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 32 years as of 21 November 2024.
Salary and Benefits:
- Selected candidates must complete a B1.1 (Aircraft Turbine)/B2 (Avionics) course at the Bangladesh Airlines Training Center (BATC). During training, candidates will receive a stipend as per airline policy.
- Upon successful course completion, candidates will be appointed as Aircraft Mechanics under Pay Scale-3 in the Engineering Hangar, with a salary ranging from BDT 12,500 to BDT 30,230.

Position: Aircraft Mechanic (Shop)

Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 in SSC (Science group) or an average grade of 'D' in O Levels.
- Diploma in Engineering in Aerospace/Avionics/Aeronautical/Aircraft Maintenance from a recognized technical education board with a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Must possess computer literacy.
- Foreign degrees or qualifications not specified in the notice must be supported by an equivalency certificate issued by the relevant local education board, university, or UGC. GED qualifications are not acceptable.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 32 years as of 21 November 2024.
Salary and Benefits:
- Pay Scale: BDT 12,500 to BDT 30,230.
- Initially, candidates will be appointed on a three-year contract. After satisfactory performance during this period, permanent employment will be offered.

47th BCS Circular Published
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the circular for the 47th BCS. A total of 3,688 officers will be recruited from this BCS.
In addition, 201 people will be recruited for non-cadre posts, according to the circular.
The age would be counted from 1 November this year. The age of the candidates should be between 21 and 32 years as of November 1.
This information was given in a notification signed by Exam Controller Ananda Kumar Biswas on Thursday (November 28).
Online application for the 47th BCS exams would begin at 10:00 am on 10 December and continue till 11:59 pm on 31 December.
The notification shows that the total number of vacant cadre posts in the 47th BCS is 3,487. The number of non-cadre posts is 201. A total of 3,688 people will be recruited from this BCS. Some new posts have been added to this BCS.

PSC Explains Why Application for 47th BCS Suspended
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has suspended the online application process for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam. The confirmation came from PSC's Public Relations Officer SM Matiur Rahman on Monday afternoon.
The application process was initially scheduled to begin online on Tuesday, December 10.
Explaining the suspension, PSC's Public Relations Officer stated that the application fee for BCS and other government jobs has been reduced to 200 BDT. However, the official gazette regarding this change has not yet been issued. For this reason, the application process for the 47th BCS has been suspended.
He further mentioned that once the Ministry of Public Administration issues the gazette notification regarding the reduced application fee, the application process for the 47th BCS will commence.
It is worth noting that the 47th BCS circular was published on the PSC's website on the afternoon of November 28. According to the circular, there are 3,487 vacant cadre posts and 201 non-cadre posts.
A total of 3,688 candidates will be recruited through this BCS. Additionally, some new positions have been included in this exam as highlighted in the notification.
