Several police officials have been presented before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in connection with the burning of six bodies in Ashulia, Savar, during the student protests in July and August. They are facing charges of crimes against humanity.
On Sunday morning, shortly after 10:30 am, the accused were brought from prison to the tribunal in a prison van.
Sources confirm that the investigation into the case has been completed, and the prosecution is expected to submit the investigation or progress report today.
The case stems from two complaints filed with the tribunal on September 11 last year. As both complaints were nearly identical, they were merged into a single case.
