The pass rate of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations in 2019 is 82.20 per cent and of them 1 lakh 5 thousand 594 students achieved GPA-5.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni along with Chairmen of different education boards declared the results formally at International Mother Language Institute auditorium at Segun Bagicha in the capital on Monday morning.
According to the tradition transcripts of the results were handed over to the Prime Minister at first. Later education minister informed about detail results at a press conference in the ministry. But this was not happened as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in London at the moment.
Last year in SSC examination the pass rate was 77.77 per cent and of them 1 lakh 10 thousand 629 students achieved GPA-5. According to the calculation this year passing rate increased by 4.43 per cent. But the number of GPA-5 achiever decreased by 5 thousand 35. In 2017 the pass rate was 80.35 per cent and of them 1 lakh 4 thousand 761 achieved GPA-5.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said, in the SSC and equivalent examinations out of 21 lakh 27 thousand 815 examinees 17 lakh 49 thousand 165 came out successful. Of the successful candidates 8 lakh 66 thousand 941 are male students and 8 lakh 82 thousand 224 female students.
She also said, passing rate in eight general education board is 82.80 per cent, in the madrasa board the rate is 83.03 per cent and in technical board it is 72.24 per cent. Besides, in 2 thousand 583 educational institutions all the candidates came out successful but in 107 institutions nobody passed.
In eight general education boards 94 thousand 556 students achieved GPA-5. In madrasa board 6 thousand 287 students and in technical board 4 thousand 751 achieved GPA-5. Last year in SSC 1 lakh 2 thousand 845 students achieved GPA-5, in Dakhil the number was 3 thousand 371 and in technical it was 4 thousand 751.

To know the result go to your mobile phone’s message option and write the name of examination (ssc/dakhil/technical) then press ‘space’ write board name’s first three letters press ‘space’ then write roll number press ‘space’ write 2019 and then send the message to 16222 number. You will get the result in return message.
