At the final phase of Bishwa Ijtema thousands of devotees said their Juma prayers on the bank of the river Turag. The prayers started at 1:45 pm and concluded at 2:00 pm.
People thronged into the Ijtema venue to take part in the prayers. The gathering began to increase from the morning.
Devotees from all over the country including Gazipur and other districts adjacent to Dhaka took part in the prayers. Devotees from different countries also said their prayers.
People took their position on different roads, footpaths and open places adjacent to the Ijtema ground. Besides, many others said their prayers by placing mattresses, polythins and newspapers on rooftops of houses, boats or vehicles.
Earlier, the formalities of second phase Ijtema began after Fazr prayers through amboyan (sermon). Mufti Osman, senior alem from Delhi led the amboyan and Mufti Abdullah Munsari translated it.
The Bishwa Ijtema of 2020 will conclude through the Akheri Munajat on next Sunday.
