Seaports asked to hoist cautionary signal number four

The depression created in the north-west Bay of Bengal and adjacent area has turned into deep depression. The met office has asked the four seaport authorities to hoist local cautionary signal number four.

Besides, due to the depression heavy to extreme heavy rainfall may occur over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

On the other hand, downpour is happening from the morning in different parts of the country including capital Dhaka as an effect of the depression. The tendency of rainfall may continue in the next 48 hours and then it may ease.
