43 Students Competing for Each Seat at DU
In the Arts, Law, and Social Science Unit of Dhaka University, 125,418 students compete for 2,934 seats, meaning intense competition with 43 candidates vying for each seat.
The admission test is being conducted today, Saturday (January 25), from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The exam is simultaneously taking place at eight divisional universities nationwide, including Dhaka University.
Students began arriving at their examination centres early in the morning. The seating arrangements for the test were published in advance.
The admit card includes important instructions for candidates:
- Candidates must bring the original copies of their admission test admit card and higher secondary registration card.
- Only black ink ballpoint pens are permitted for writing on the question and answer sheets while using pencils is strictly prohibited.
- Electronic devices, such as calculators, watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or other communication gadgets, are banned in the exam hall. If any candidate is found in possession of such devices, their test will be cancelled immediately.
The test is 100 marks long and divided into two sections: 60 marks for the multiple-choice question (MCQ) section and 40 marks for the written section. The subjects covered include Bangla, English, and General Knowledge.
The application process for admission opened on November 4, 2024, and closed on November 27, 2024, at midnight.
