
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman will attend the citizens condolence meeting for former BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban after Jumu'ah Prayers on Friday.
The schedule was confirmed during a press conference held on Thursday at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) Convention Hall.
The press conference was chaired by eminent educationist and economist Professor Dr. Mahbub Ullah.
Speakers at the briefing confirmed that every family member had been invited and had expressed their commitment to attend the memorial service.
Tarique Rahman and all members of the bereaved family are expected to arrive at the venue by 2:30 pm.
The meeting will feature former Chief Justice Syed JR Modassir Hossain as the chief guest.
A wide array of distinguished citizens, media professionals, and representatives from various sectors of society are expected to gather to pay their respects to the three-time former Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, notable attendees at the press conference included Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Daily Ittefaq Executive Editor Saleh Uddin, BFUJ General Secretary Kader Gani Chowdhury, PIB Director General Faruq Wasif, and Debate for Democracy Chairman Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron.
