In a significant shift for the political party Ganosamhati Andolon, State Minister for Planning Zonayed Saki has stepped down from his role as the party’s Chief Coordinator.
The announcement was made by the party's Executive Coordinator, Abul Hasan Rubel, during a formal press conference held on Saturday at their central office in Hatirpool, Dhaka.
To fill the vacancy, Dewan Abdur Rashid Nilu has been appointed as the Acting Chief Coordinator.
According to the party leadership, Nilu will manage the responsibilities of the office until a special council is convened to elect a permanent successor.
The move comes as Saki continues his responsibilities within the government’s planning ministry, marking a transition in the party's internal leadership structure to address its future organizational needs.
