BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, the BNP elected members of eleventh national parliament will take oath in exchange of their imprisoned Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s release on parole- such type of news is baseless and not true.
He informed the media about this while exchanging views with the repressed BNP leaders and activists at Noagaon village under Cumilla sadar south upazila on Saturday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, sending Khaleda Zia in Keraniganj jail means creating harm to her in a planned way.
He said, based on the thoughts we took part in the liberation war, Awami League has destroyed that spirit. They have destroyed the democracy. They have snatched away rights of people. Now they want to remain in power by using guns and law enforcement agencies.
The BNP Secretary General said, Khaleda Zia is eligible to get bail legally. But the government is delaying the bail process willingly. For that reason she is in jail for 14 months. But after being convicted the ruling party men are freed and even performing duty as minister.
