Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, Bangladesh Awami League is a democratic party. Here leadership is formed in a democratic process. So I am not thinking about these. I will go into retirement at one time. Then new leadership will come. But who will come after me, party will decide. I will not decide that.

The premier said these at a press conference at Ganabhaban in the capital on Friday afternoon. She attended the press conference following her three days official visit to Brunei.

Sheikh Hasina said, Awami League has to be organized from the grass roots level through council. But it needs huge expense to organize a council. There is a matter of organizing. There is a council ahead. Decision will be taken about leadership there. Somebody comes, somebody goes, this happens in politics.

She said, a database will be maintained about all the matters from the grass roots level. It will be made so that if I go to Tungipara then I can get all the information by pressing the switches.

In response to a question she said, some donor agencies do not want to send Rohingyas in Bhasan Char. There are different reasons. Donors are coming to provide service to the Rohingya people from humanitarian reasons. But it is a matter of regret that they are concentrating on their own service.

About BNP elected lawmaker Jahidur Rahman’s oath taking the Prime Minister said, why we would create pressure? They are elected representative of people. They have pressure from the people. BNP is a political party. There is no scope for putting pressure about decision making on them by another party.

About release of Khaleda Zia on parole she said, it needs to apply for parole. As they did not apply so far then how I will talk about this? We did not arrest Khaleda Zia. She is convicted by the court.

In her written speech the Prime Minister upheld details about her recent successful Brunei visit and about different agreements. She said, through my first Brunei visit the relation between the two countries has reached into a new height.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the country from April 21 to 23 following invitation from Sultan of Brunei. After completion of her visit she returned home on April 23.

Dr. Zafrullah suggests Tarique to complete Masters or MPhil
Jatiya Oikyafront leader Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury has suggested BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman to complete Masters for two years or MPhil after handover responsibility to the leaders available in the country to run BNP. His suggestion came in at a seminar titled ‘In which way Bangladesh’s democracy and voting rights?’ at Supreme Court Bar Association auditorium on Monday. Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury said, I am telling the BNP people that you are being directed by ‘Ohi’ (divine message). It is unfortunate for the nation. Your Ohis come from London city through Skype. Please leave that. You have smart leaders like Rony, Milon. There are more leaders like them, give them responsibility. About Tarique Rahman who is residing in London, he said, Tarique is one of my favorite persons. I have seen him from his childhood. For that reason I would say that you cannot release your mother (Begum Khaleda Zia) by staying so far. Please complete Masters or MPhil for two years while staying there. Handover your responsibility to the people available in the country. To Tarique Rahman he said, please stop delivering ‘Ohi’ and messages through Skype. Then they will make you victorious and your mother will be released. It is impossible to liberate democracy if Khaleda Zia is not released. But it is our responsibility to release her. We have to go to the field by not delivering speeches in the halls. AH
