After a devastating series of defeats on their tour of India, Bangladesh is fighting to keep their series hopes alive as they face a do-or-die match in Delhi.

Another loss will eliminate them from the series. Today, as they face India in Delhi, they have taken on the challenge of keeping their series hopes alive.

The team has lost every match on the tour so far, but the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi offers a glimmer of hope. This ground holds Bangladesh's only victory against India on Indian soil, achieved in a T20 match in 2019.

However, recent history suggests that this optimism may be short-lived.

In recent years, the stadium has become one of the most run-friendly venues in India, as evidenced by the latest edition of the IPL and other international matches.

This year, five IPL matches have been held at Arun Jaitley Stadium, and in 10 innings, 8 teams have scored 200 runs. Although the rules for dominant players in the IPL were in effect, the ground’s reputation as a high-scoring venue remains undisputed, and another score of 200 or more is expected today.

This presents a significant challenge for Bangladesh.

In their last outing, their T20 batting fragility was exposed, as they were bowled out for just 127 on a straightforward batting wicket.

Captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto openly admitted, "We are used to playing on pitches where 140-150 runs are par, so we don't know how to make 180 runs."

Today, the team faces the tough task of batting on a pitch where a score of 200 may be the minimum requirement.

Bangladesh's ability to bridge the gap between themselves and modern, high-scoring T20 teams will be severely tested as they fight to keep their series alive.
