Bangladesh faced India in the second T20 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, a venue where Bangladesh had previously won both of their T20 matches. However, this time, the past victories couldn't inspire a repeat performance, as the Tigers suffered a crushing 86-run defeat to India.

India, batting first after losing the toss, posted a total of 221 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Bangladesh also lost 9 wickets but managed only 135 runs. With this win, India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, secured the three-match T20 series with one match to spare.

Chasing a target of 222, Bangladesh struggled from the start. Openers Liton Das and Parvez Hossain Emon could only put together a 20-run partnership before being dismissed. Emon scored 16 runs off 12 balls, while Liton made 14 runs from 11 deliveries. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto contributed just 11 runs.

Towhid Hridoy failed to make an impact, scoring only 2 runs off 6 balls. Mehidy Hasan Miraz managed 16 runs from 16 balls. Mahmudullah Riyad, who is set to retire after the next match, fought hard, scoring the highest 41 runs off 39 balls.

The rest of the Bangladesh batting lineup struggled against India's bowling. Zakir Ali Anik and Rishad Hossain failed to contribute significantly, scoring just 1 and 9 runs, respectively. Tanzim Hasan Sakib added 8 runs, while Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman remained unbeaten with 5 and 1 run, respectively.

For India, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Varun Chakravarthy each took 2 wickets, while Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Yadav, and Riyan Parag claimed 1 wicket apiece.

Earlier, India's Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh put on an explosive display with the bat. Reddy scored a blistering 74 runs off 34 balls, while Rinku Singh made 53 off 29 deliveries. Hardik Pandya contributed 32 runs.

Among Bangladesh's bowlers, Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets but conceded 55 runs in his 4 overs. Tanzim Sakib gave away 50 runs but picked up 2 wickets. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, and Mustafizur Rahman also took 2 wickets each.
