The media has been rife with speculation for years regarding a possible romance between Indian cricketer Shubman Gill and Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The rumours were fueled by Sara's regular appearances at stadiums, which many believed were linked to her connection with Shubman.
Fans have often chanted "Sara Sara" during Shubman's matches, and there have been playful calls of "Sara Bhabi" in the stands. However, despite the constant buzz, neither Sara nor Shubman had ever publicly commented on the rumours – until now.
During the ongoing IPL season, Shubman Gill chose to address the speculation surrounding his personal life. In a candid statement, he made it clear that he is not romantically involved with Sara Tendulkar, and in fact, has been single for the past three years.
"I've been single for over three years now," Shubman said. "There have been so many rumours about me, and I've been linked with numerous people. When I hear these things, I can't help but laugh. Sometimes, my name is even associated with individuals I've never met. It's all quite bizarre."
Shubman's professional life continues to flourish, with him playing an instrumental role in both Indian cricket and the IPL. His demanding schedule leaves little room for a personal relationship, as he spends the majority of the year away from home.
"I'm away from home for almost 300 days a year," he explained. "With such a busy schedule, I simply don't have the time to be in a relationship or dedicate myself to one."
With his statement, Shubman has put an end to the ongoing rumours, emphasising that his focus remains firmly on his career and personal well-being.
