Vinicius Junior is thriving at Real Madrid, delivering outstanding performances that have helped the club secure multiple titles, including La Liga and the Champions League. His future with the Spanish giants seems bright, yet speculation has emerged that the Brazilian star could be on his way to Saudi Arabia.
During a press conference on Friday (February 14) ahead of a La Liga match, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was asked about these rumours. Clearly irritated, he dismissed the topic, making it clear he had nothing more to add.
"There are too many questions about this. Am I annoyed? Yes. Am I worried? No. Do I see him happy? Absolutely. We are happy with him. I have nothing new to say beyond what I already stated a week or two ago," Ancelotti remarked.
Addressing Vinicius's mindset, he added, "We don't discuss this matter, and neither does he. He's the same Vinicius as always—determined to do things right. He proved that once again in the last match."
In that game, Manchester City fans attempted to rattle Vinicius psychologically. A massive banner referencing City midfielder Rodri's Ballon d'Or win read: "Don't cry your heart out."
However, Vinícius responded in the best way possible—by producing a match-winning performance. He was named Man of the Match as Real Madrid secured a thrilling 3-2 victory at City's home ground.
Ancelotti is confident that the Brazilian forward is focused on making history with Real Madrid.
"I see him highly motivated, especially after his performance against City. He was under immense pressure, yet he handled it brilliantly and made the difference in the game," said the Italian coach.
Regarding the rumoured Saudi Arabian offer, Ancelotti concluded, "Whether he received an offer or not, I can only speak on what I see. And what I see is a happy player, committed to doing things right and making history with this club."
