Meanwhile, Bangladesh broke their 22-year curse with a thrilling 1-0 victory over their South Asian arch-rivals in their second-leg match of the ongoing AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualification (Third Round) at the National Stadium in Dhaka.
Star forward Sheikh Morsalin scored the match-winner for the home team in the 12th minute of the first half, following a brilliant assist from forward Rakib Hossain.
However, the true anchor of Bangladesh's resistance was Hamza Choudhury, who marshalled the backline brilliantly to help end the 22-year winless run against their arch-rivals.
