BNP senior leaders are united: Nazrul Islam

BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said, ‘The senior BNP leaders are as much united at present were not active or united in the past. Surprised to see the leaders, who were not available in the meeting or procession earlier, are coming at the moment’.

He was speaking at a discussion as the chief guest organized at the national press club on Friday evening. Jatiyatabadi Rickshaw and Van Shramik Dal organized the program to place their demand of releasing party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and other leaders and activists.

Nazrul Islam Khan said, ‘Many of you do not like the way we are going through the movement. You are getting a little bit dissatisfied over us. We are passing the time like this. The party will take appropriate decision in due time and that decision should be implemented’.

He also said, ‘Why we are doing this? What we are doing, doing according to the direction of our leader Begum Khaleda Zia. We are doing according to the direction of our Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Because whatever we are doing, doing through discussion and understanding’.

He said, ‘We have to be prepared for implementing the decisions that will come. The repression on BNP is continuing for years after years. But nobody was able to break the party even it’s any associated body. Even nobody was able to break the unity of 20-party alliance.’

BNP Chairperson’s advisory council member Ataur Rahman Dhali, Sharamik Dal general secretary Nurul Islam Khan Nasim and others were present in the meeting.
