Medical experts said that the widely discussed Russell's viper or Chandrabora snake has been found in 27 districts of the country. It doesn't mean that people in these areas will not leave their homes. There are many rumors about the snake. But this snake never comes hurshly and bites people. It only bites when it sees danger of them.
They said that in 2013, for the first time, Russell's Viper's bite patients were found. 70 percent of patients are recovering from this snake bite. Late arrival at the hospital is responsible for the remaining 30 percent death. At present, its antivenom is available in the country. Antivenom has been delivered to every upazila health complex.
