11 killed in violence across the country

11 people were killed in clashes with the police in different parts of the country, including Dhaka, during the program called by the anti-discrimination student movement.

It has been reported by RTV representatives on Thursday (July 18).

On this day, the dead bodies of four people were found at the Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hospital in Uttara of the capital. Director of the hospital Mizanur Rahman said that two of the four are students. No details are known about the two.

Earlier, 2 people were killed and more than 500 protestors were injured in a police clash with students of Northern University in Uttara. Bangladesh Medical doctor. Ruknuzzaman confirmed that the students of Northern University in Uttara were killed.

He said that 2 students were killed in the clash. Hundreds more students are receiving treatment in the hospital. Some of them are in critical condition.

There was a massive clash between police and private university students in Badda-Rampura area of ​​the capital. Two people were killed and hundreds of protesters were injured. One of them is Zillur Rahman, a class XI student of Imperial College. Another is a driver named Dulal Matbar. He was crossing the area driving a Hiace vehicle at the time of the clash.

A university student named Yamin (24) was shot dead in Savar police-Chatra League clash. At noon on this day, police and Chhatra League clashed with protesting students at Savar Bazar bus stand. His death was confirmed by Yusuf Ali, duty manager of the hospital. He said he died after being brought to the hospital.

In Madaripur, one person drowned in the police chase after participating in the quota reform movement. Deceased Dipto Dey is a student of Govt Madaripur College. The deceased has been taken to Madaripur Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

A school student named Tahmid Tamim (15) was killed in a clash with the police in Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. District Hospital RMO Mizanur Rahman said that there were marks of rubber bullets on his body.
