Today, December 31, the anti-discrimination student movement's scheduled July Proclamation program will take place at the Central Shaheed Minar. However, the July Proclamation document will not be unveiled.

Abdul Hannan Masud, the chief organizer of the anti-discrimination student movement, announced this at a press briefing on Monday (December 30) at around 1 AM.

He stated, “On August 5, people across the country took to the streets. Tomorrow, people from across the country, as well as Dhaka, will take to the streets similarly. The interim government has agreed to our proclamation. We also support this. The government will issue the proclamation, but the program we announced at the Shaheed Minar—where we revolutionaries will gather—will not be halted.”

When asked whether the proclamation document would be released tomorrow, Masud did not answer but mentioned that a rally in support of the proclamation would be held outside the office. He then left the press briefing venue promptly.

Notably, Hasanat Abdullah, the convener of the anti-discrimination student movement, and one of the coordinators, Sarjis Alam, were absent from the press briefing. Following the briefing, Sarjis Alam entered the office but exited again within a few minutes.
