Dr. Muhammad Yunus will go to the house of Abu Sayed, who was shot by the police during the quota reform movement. He was a student of the English Department of Begum Rokeya University.

Rangpur District Commissioner Mohammad Mobashwer Hasan confirmed the matter.

He said, Dr. Muhammad Yunus would arrive in a helicopter on Saturday (August 10) around 9:30 am. He will then visit Abu Sayed's grave and talk to his family.

Earlier on Thursday (August 8) at the airport, Dr. Yunus became emotional after remembering Abu Sayed.

Incidentally, on July 16 around 2.30 pm, there was a back-and-forth chase and clash between police and Chhatra League on the road in front of Begum Rokeya University demanding quota reform. Abu Sayed, a 12th-batch student of the English Department of Begum Rokeya University and one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination quota movement, was shot dead in the clash.

The deceased Abu Sayed is the son of Maqbul Hossain of Babanpur village in Modonkhali union of Pirganj upazila of Rangpur. He was the youngest among nine brothers and sisters.
