Abduction case filed against Sheikh Hasina

A case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who resigned due to mass protests, accusing her of kidnapping.

This application was filed in the court of Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury's Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate on Wednesday (August 14). Sohel Rana, the plaintiff in the case, said although there was a hearing in this regard, there was no order.

Apart from Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former IGP Shahidul Haque, former RAB DG Benazir Ahmed and 25 unknown members of RAB have been accused in the case.

Earlier, a case was filed against Sheikh Hasina and her government's Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and seven others for the murder of a grocery shopkeeper named Abu Sayeed on Tuesday (August 13). The order directed the application to be accepted as an affidavit.

Rajesh Chowdhury's court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate serves this order. A businessman named Amir Hamza appealed the case.
