After 27 days, a long period of time, intercity trains are starting to run across the country from Thursday (August 15). However, three trains will be closed.

Dhaka Railway Station Master Anwar Hossain confirmed this on Wednesday (August 14) at noon.

He said, 'According to the decision of Bangladesh Railway, the intercity train movement will start across the country from tomorrow. We have made all kinds of preparations at the station. The army is there for security. Apart from this, railway security forces will work. However, Parabat Express, Jamalpur Express, and Sirajganj Express will remain closed.

Meanwhile, cargo trains have started running since August 12, and mail/express/local/commuter trains have started running since August 13.

Earlier, due to the quota reform movement, the train movement was stopped step by step from July 18 in different parts of the country. After that, train movement was completely stopped from July 19 after the curfew was imposed by the government. Out of this, commuter trains operated on a limited basis from August 1-3.
