Bangladesh Railway is currently selling advance tickets for the return journey after Eid-ul-Fitr, with sales having commenced on March 24th. Following this schedule, tickets for trains departing on April 7th are being sold today.
The sale of return journey tickets began at 8:00 AM on Friday (March 28th). This year, 100% of the tickets are being sold online.
According to the operational plan, online ticket sales begin at 8:00 AM. During this time, tickets for intercity trains operating in the western region of the railway will be available. Subsequently, the sale of tickets for intercity trains in the eastern region will commence at 2:00 PM.
As in previous years, advance tickets for intercity trains are being sold under a special arrangement, allowing purchase up to 7 days prior to the journey. For the convenience of passengers, all tickets will be sold online. Due to this special arrangement, there will be no opportunity for ticket refunds.
As per the decision of Bangladesh Railway, tickets for intercity trains departing on April 3rd were sold on March 24th; tickets for April 4th were sold on March 25th; tickets for April 5th were sold on March 26th; and tickets for April 6th were sold on March 27th. Furthermore, tickets for April 8th will be sold on March 29th, and tickets for April 9th will be sold on March 30th.
