Another murder case filed against former PM Sheikh Hasina

Another murder case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for allegedly killing auto-rickshaw driver Shahabuddin (35) in capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area. 11 people including Sheikh Hasina have been accused in the case.

Shahabuddin's father Abul Kalam appealed this case to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court of Dhaka on Thursday (August 15).

Later, the court directed the officer-in-charge (OC) of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station to record the case as a statement.

Liton Mia, the plaintiff's lawyer, confirmed this information to the media.

The other accused in the case are - Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, former Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's advisor Salman F Rahman, former Inspector General of Police ( IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Habibur Rahman, Additional Commissioner of Police Md Harun-ur-Rashid and Joint Commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarkar.

According to the information of the case, Shahabuddin died after being shot in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area on August 5.
