Murderers must be punished in Bangladesh: IT Advisor

Nahid Islam, Advisor of Interim Government's Telecommunication and Information Technology Department said, 'You have seen how students and common people were shot dead. We will certainly judge them. We got new Bangladesh to judge them. The murderers must be punished on the soil of Bengal. They will be brought under severe punishment.'

He said those while attending the funeral of Mohammad Ikramul Haque Sajid, a 14th batch student of Accounting and Information Systems Department of Jagannath University and a resident of Bil kukri village in Dhanbari Upazila of Tangail. He died in the anti-discrimination student movement on Thursday (August 15).

Nahid said, Sajid is my brother. He is not with us today. We are deeply saddened. Sajid has become a national hero.

Earlier, IT advisor Nahid Islam visited Sajid's house and consoled his parents. He also assured to always be with Sajid's family. Administration officials and coordinators were also with him.
