Order to send Ex-Judge Manik to Jail

The court ordered to send AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik to jail in the Badda police station murder case. He is the former judge of the Supreme Court's Appellate Division.

Alamgir Hossain's court of Sylhet Judicial Magistrate-1 gave this order on Saturday (August 24).

Earlier, he was taken to the court at 4.10 pm.

Some angry people threw eggs and shoes at former Justice Manik when he was taken to the court. Later, the policemen took him to the court with tight security.

Earlier on Friday night, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained former Justice Manik while fleeing to India illegally through the Dana border of Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet.
