Hospital outdoor services to continue from Tuesday
Agitating doctors have decided to resume outdoor services from Tuesday (September 3) as the government has kept its word. Outdoor services will continue from 10 am till 1 pm.
He announced this on behalf of the agitating doctors at a press conference in front of the administrative building of DMC on Monday (September 2) afternoon.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s neurosurgery department’s resident surgeon Dr Abdul Ahad thanked the government for the swift steps on Monday (September 2).
Dr Abdul Ahad said, "One person has been arrested in connection with the attack on doctors at DMC Hospital and four people have been arrested in connection with the attack on doctors at Suhrawardy Hospital. As promised, emergency security forces have been deployed in hospitals in the capital. I thank the government for this."
He also said, "The friends and traitors of the previous fascist government are carrying out this attack to destabilize the country. If the security forces are not deployed in all hospitals quickly, the conspirators may strike again."
The doctor said they have two demands: bringing the culprits to book enacting the health protection law and deploying health police.
Abdul Ahad said about the program, "Emergency department services have been running throughout the country since Sunday evening. Limited outdoor services will be available from tomorrow (Tuesday). The outdoor service will be open from 10 am to 1 pm.
